Pietrasanta (Ita) 05.10.2022. Penultimate appointment of the season for the Italian team, which is preparing to tackle the legendary Zolder circuit. After the several podiums conquered last year on the Belgian track, Academy Motorsport /Alex Caffi Motorsport is ready to score new and precious points to get closer to conquering two important trophies, En2 with Vladimiros Tziortzis just 53 points behind the first and in the Club Challenge where Federico Monti with 146 points has a gap of just 10 lengths from the top. “We are almost at the end of the season and so a little bit of fatigue is being felt but at the same time there is a lot of desire to do well in this event, the team is fantastic and we have really worked hard to prepare the cars. I will try in the Club Challenge to attack hard to get even closer to the lead,” said team owner and driver Federico Monti.
After last year’s pole and podiums in this track, Vladimiros Tziortzis in the No. 5 FJ is ready to launch the attack ahead of the season finale. “It’s one of my favorite circuits, I’m sure everything will go for the best to achieve the results that both the team and I deserve,” says the young Cypriot.
For Frenchman Patrick Lemarié in the No. 5 FJ, there are strong and mixed feelings about competing at this circuit:” This is where Gilles Villeneuve passed away, and it is inevitable that so many memories reappear, my friend Jacques lost a father we lost our hero. It’s a fantastic track, old fashion with natural track limits, it would be the best place to achieve my best result of the season, it would really mean a lot also because Academy Motorsport deserves it for all the incredible work and passion put in this year.”
