ACADEMY MOTORSPORT / ALEX CAFFI MOTORSPORT IN GERMANY FOR THE PENULTIMATE ROUND OF THE NASCAR WHELEN EURO SERIES

20 september 2023

Pietrasanta (ITA) 19.09.2023. The fifth event of the exciting Euronascar series kicks off at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben on 22-24 September where the Italian team led by Federico Monti is ready to give its all.

After the successful weekend in Most at the end of September, Academy Motorsport faces a new and challenging task on the German circuit that is a totally new round in the 2023 championship. A short, with its 3696 metres, but very tricky circuit, with several spots where it is easy to overtake, and this will ensure some exciting moments throughout the race weekend.
Maximum concentration by the entire team to optimise the excellent results achieved so far this year, always full of twists and turns. A decisive appointment also because after these two rounds the drivers will drop the two worst results of the  season before the last tough round in Zolder (BE) where the points scored will be doubled. Academy Motorsport will field the #1 Ford Mustang driven by team owner Federico Monti in the Club Challenge and the #5 FJ of Vladimiros Tziortzis in the EnPro and En2 categories.

“Academy faces this new trip with great interest and determination, we are racing in a reduced formation at this appointment because we are approaching the end of the championship and we want to focus totally on Vladimiros, directing all the attention on him to ensure that he has a great race weekend,” says Monti. This is a very important appointment for Tziortzis, who aims to maintain his lead in the En2 standings: “I am ready and determined,” says the young Cypriot. “I have watched over and over a lot of videos and I already like the track a lot, it will be a challenge for everyone but I am sure I can do well. We all have to give our best and I’m ready to do it, maximum attention in the preparation and set-up of the car at all times. We all aim for the same target.”
The race weekend will start on Friday 22 September with the three sessions of thirty minutes each of the Club Challenge. Saturday morning from 10:20 a.m.  super pole for  EnPro, followed by qualifying for race En2. From 14:00 green lights for EnPro race 1 over 17 laps and at 17:05 for En2 with 14 laps. Sunday  reversed start : at 10:30 En2 race 2  and then EnPro race 2  at 14:30.
