The 2023 season for Academy Motorsport kicks off in Valencia on May 6 and 7 at the Ricardo Tormo circuit. A season that promises to be exciting and full of thrilling duels in the perfect style of “pure racing” as always seen in the Euronascar championship. Academy Motorsport will line up two cars. The #5 FJ driven by Vladimiros Tziortzis just back from a brilliant season that ended in Most last October with a third place overall in the En2 category. Tziortzis who had already announced his move to the higher category, the EnPro, surprised his many fans these days with the decision to take part in Euronascar 2 as well: ” I am ready for the start of the season and convinced to give my maximum to get the best results both for me and for the team that has been working nonstop. I am confident that I will be able to handle the challenges of both categories in the best possible way,” he said.
The second car, the Ford Mustang #1 will have Federico Monti, who is committed to the Club Challenge after finishing third overall last year. “We have been working tirelessly over the past few months to form the right team to face the new season, I think we have done a really good job.” Monti said.” Having Vladimiros back in Academy has been very important, and Advait joining the team will give a new energy. I would like to thank the whole team who have really worked so passionately.”
Car#1 will be shared by Monti with Indian driver Advait Deodhart, who is committed to EnPro, remarking, “I can’t wait to be behind the wheel of the car and start in Valencia, I know it will be quite a challenge as there are many fast drivers with rich experience. I really like the track, it’s among my favorites even though I feel like I haven’t reached my maximum yet, so I hope to do just that this weekend.”
Team manager Stefano Bacci is also satisfied with the work done: “I spent practically all winter on the phone, but we got what we wanted, great motivation from the drivers and the mechanics team, who always worked so hard. I really thank everyone for their incredible support, especially Ofeni and Privengas for their invaluable cooperation. We have formed a close and tight-knit group and this is already a beautiful result.”
