After a quite exceptional 2021 edition of the Spa Rally, which for the first time acted as the final round for the Kroon-Oil Belgian Rally Championship and turned into a hard-fought battle for the title that continued through to the Flying Finish of the ultimate special stage, DG Sport has decided to continue on this momentum. As such the 7th edition of the Spa Rally will take place on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th December this year…
After six editions we can truly state that the Spa Rally has reached its cruising speed Carolane Jupsin, the Race Director commented. The event is one of the unmissable on the Belgian Championship calendar, boasting an international reputation. DG Sport is not in the habit of resting on its laurels, which implies that the 2022 vintage of the Spa Rally is already under construction. Several improvements, but also some pleasant surprises, will be revealed shortly
The first weekend of December will once again be a highlight of the Belgian motorsport season, in so far as the course of the Spa Rally 2022 will be inspired by that of 2021, which was unanimously approved by the teams in all categories. This has not prevented DG Sport from offering up several new special stages that promise to be enjoyable and in keeping with the spirit of the event.
On the sporting front, the event will once again act as the final round of the Kroon-Oil Belgian Rally Championship, the Junior BRC and the Historic BRC, not forgetting the 2WD Trophy which supersedes the Critérium, the Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup Belux and the VHRS annex for the regularity specialists on closed and secure special stages
