Treviso (Italy), November 23, 2017. Cetilar Villorba Corse sporting programs for 2018 will follow its “Italian Spirit of Le Mans” project again. Italian team unveils next year’s plans confirming its commitments at the highest levels of international endurance racing. The team led by Raimondo Amadio will line up the Dallara P217 of the LMP2 class in the European Le Mans Series, where in 2017 it was awarded as Team of the Year. Cetilar Villorba Corse also aims to participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, in which last June the team scored an extraordinary seventh place in LMP2, ninth overall. The effort for the 2018 season will allow new prestigious partnerships, while the possibility to line up a second prototype is still open. More details, also concerning the drivers, will be announced in the next weeks when Cetilar Villorba Corse will take part in the 2017 Motor Show, the famous Italian event dedicated to the automotive and motorsport world that will take place from the 2nd to the 10th December in Bologna.
Team Principal Amadio says: “After a very positive 2017 season, we are asked to confirm great results. Our task will be even more difficult because, a part from Le Mans, that is always a very challenging event, the 2018 ELMS will be even more demanding. It is true that last season we learnt a lot, but in 2018 the general level will be higher, also for the effect of the new WEC, which became a two-year series. We are working hard on some evolutions regarding different aspects: the team itself and the car. This is why we believe we can still improve our performances”.
