Following on from the success of recent editions, DRE International returns with another prestigious Ducati riding school event
- Ducati Riding Experience to take to the racetrack in the Kingdom of Bahrain on 28 and 29 October 2016
- Michele Pirro, Manuel Poggiali and Alessandro Valia among the instructors for this exclusive DRE event
Borgo Panigale, Bologna (Italy), 2 September 2016 – Wheels of Arabia and the Ducati Riding Experience present DRE International, a unique event on the calendar of the prestigious riding school that will take place, for the first time, at the Bahrain International Circuit. On 28 and 29 October 2016, Ducati enthusiasts will have chance to enjoy theory lessons and track sessions (unique in that they will take place at night), with the constant guidance and support of professional riders and instructors.
A unique opportunity to fly to the Middle East and take part in one of the three courses making up the DRE International. The three levels of the DRE International each involve theory sessions in the classroom, after which, as the sun sets, participants will take to the track on Ducatis such as the 1299 Panigale and 959 Panigale for the evening riding sessions.
Participants in the DRE International will also benefit from the experience and professionalism of riders including Michele Pirro, official Ducati Corse MotoGP test rider, Manuel Poggiali, 125cc and 250cc World Champion and Alessandro Valia, official Ducati test rider, as well as other qualified and expert instructors making up the Ducati Riding Experience staff.
The training component of the DRE courses that will take place at the Bahrain circuit comprises:
The Intro course: designed for those who wish to perfect their road riding and also for those who do not yet possess a motorcycle licence. Riding the Monster 821, students will receive useful advice from expert instructors as they work towards becoming true motorcyclists. Only 8 places are available.
The Track Evo course: for those who would like to be more confident when taking the corners on track. On board the Superbike 959 Panigale or 899 Panigale, participants will be able to perfect their riding technique on any surface, learning how to build speed through the corner and make the most of acceleration. There are 30 places available each day, with instructors of the calibre of Manuel Poggiali and Dario Marchetti.
The Master course: ideal for expert riders who want a taste of racing and hope to learn how to maximise their potential, their performance and its repeatability. The instructors are Michele Pirro and Alessandro Valia and there are 6 places available each day on the Ducati 1299 Panigale.
