Valencia 14.05.2022 Pole position and victory on Saturday for Cypriot Vladimiros Tziortzis in En2 with car #5, in a race always in first position and perfectly managing a difficult track with 33 cars, numerous contacts and yellow flags: “Really fantastic race, first this morning’s pole position and then being at front helped me to manage at my best a difficult race. Thanks to Academy for all the work done, thanks to my sponsors for trusting me.”
First race for Kasparas Vingilis in En2, the young Lithuanian at the wheel of the # 2 FJ finished his second race in the European NASCAR in 23rd place, the other rookie Andrea Tronconi in his very first race in this series managed a comeback race ending in 16th place overall.
This Saturday was more complicated for the EnPro drivers who had to manage a race interrupted several times by a red flag, safety car and numerous yellow flags due to contacts between cars on a track defined by many drivers as ‘crowded’ with a record number of 37 cars at the line. The Greek Thomas Krasonis, who switched this year from En2 to the professional category in the No. 1 Ford Mustang, managed a race that was always in progression, finishing fourth in the Junior category, 16th overall: “I am satisfied because it was a complicated race and it was really hot. Racing with professionals is certainly a nice challenge and there is a lot to learn,” commented the young driver. A double contact in the race for Patrick Lemarié on FJ no. 5 forced him to return to the pits for a tyre change, finishing in 18th place just ahead of team-mate Federico Monti, who after yesterday’s podium in the Club also competed in the EnPro.Valencia
