The Spain-based team will enter a Ginetta G55 GT4 for pairing of A. Martín and Jorge Cabezas, which mixes youth and experience in the line-up

NM Racing Team will be contesting the second round of the GT4 South European Series, which takes place at Jarama on 15-16 June, with Spaniards A. Martín and Jorge Cabezas sharing the driving duties in the Ginetta G55 GT4. Martín and Cabezas are two seasoned drivers on the Iberian motorsport scene. Martín is a regular contender in the Spanish Endurance Championship in recent years with remarkable results to his name. Similarly, Cabezas claimed the Iberian Endurance Trophy title in 2012 and he was also crowned Junior class champion in 2013.

NM Racing Team is focused on consolidating its position as a strong GT4 contender in the Iberian Peninsula. Thus, the team founded in 2017 won the 24 hours of Barcelona that year and repeated as class winners last year always fielding Ginetta G55 GT4 cars. Last but not least, NM Racing Team also scored its maiden pole position on its debut in the 2018 Championnat de France FFSA GT – GT4 France. The Spanish outfit joined the French field for the home round at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya achieving notorious success.

Jorge Cabezas explains “I’m looking forward to making my debut at the wheel of the Ginetta car over the next few days. I hope to adapt to the car quickly for my debut at Jarama. I’m extremely excited to making my comeback and, above all, entering an international racing championship. I hope we will be able to live up to the expectations of NM Racing Team and Ginetta. We are a strong driver line-up.”

“We are pleased making our debut in the GT4 South European Series because it looks like a strong series in the making and our team clearly aims to be present. We are thrilled with this new challenge and I feel confident that our drivers will be top contenders in our Ginetta” underlines Nil Montserrat, Team Principal of NM Racing Team.

“It’s a pleasure to welcome NM Racing Team to the GT4 South European Series. It’s a young team but they have already shown excellent pace against many worthy adversaries on the GT4 scene. I have no doubts they will be strong contenders from the very beginning despite rivalry will be fierce as the championship arrives in Spain”, adds Diogo Ferrão, Race Ready’s CEO.

The series promoted by Race Ready in partnership with SRO Motorsports Group kicked off at Nogaro, in the Coupe de Pâques. The next round will be held at Jarama, June 15th-16th, and will visit three other circuits – at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Autódromo Internacional do Algarve and Circuito do Estoril.

All GT4 South European Series races will be broadcasted on TV – live in Portugal, Porto Canal, and delayed in Spain, Teledeporte – and will be streamed live on the series’ social media.
