Barcelona (Spain), March 14, 2019. Scuderia Villorba Corse is experiencing a long week of testing in Barcelona with many protagonists of the 2019 season. From Monday to Wednesday the Italian team led by Raimondo Amadio has practiced on the circuit of Montmelò with the Mercedes-AMG GT3 and GT4 and with the Ligier LMP3 of the all new ACE1 endurance project.
Roberto Pampanini and Mauro Calamia, the Italian-Swiss crew preparing their 2019 Le Mans Cup campaign and the 24 Hours of Spa, tested the German GT3 car, while on the GT4 version the young couple formed by Stefano Monaco and Amedeo Pampanini, Roberto’s son, made their season debut.
Japanese driver Yuki Harata and Italian Alessandro Bressan, new protagonists in the endurance racing world with ACE1 Villorba Corse, tested the Ligier JS P3 Nissan for their 2019 European Le Mans Series commitments.
Overall, during this three-day testing session the team run many kilometres managing a lot of setup adjustments on the cars without any particular issues. For the Mercedes-AMG GT4 it was the very first test. A shakedown that was immediately satisfying thanks to some very competitive lap times.
On Thursday and Friday Villorba Corse will be still on track for a two-day testing session with the Cetilar Racing Dallara P217 Gibson.
