Le Mans (France), June 13, 2017. The great adventure in the 24 Hours of Le Mans has just started for Cetilar Villorba Corse. These days the all Italian team arrived in France and did all the scrutineering for the legendary endurance race to be held on Saturday, June 17 and Sunday. After the official test on early June, on Wednesday Roberto Lacorte, Giorgio Senagiotto and Andrea Belicchi will start the main event getting back on track at the spectacular Circuit de la Sarthe on their Dallara P217 powered by Gibson, running the first free practice session from 16:00hrs to 20:00hrs. First qualifying session is the next one on the same day from 22:00hrs to midnight, while Q2 and Q3 are on Thursday from 19:00hrs to 21:00hrs and from 22:00hrs to midnight again, respectively. No further sessions will be held on track on Friday, when during late afternoon the drivers parede will take place in Le Mans city center. Saturday, June 17 is the great day of the 85th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which this year is third round of the World Endurance Championship: at 9:00hrs Cetilar Villorba Corse will be able to use the 45-minute warm up to complete the job ahead of the race, that will start in the afternoon at 3:00hrs.
Team Principal Amadio says: “Each day that is bringing us at the start of the 24 Hours is more and more beautiful. I am seeing and living a great spirit in the team, in all of us. A great dream, we are looking forward to be part of one of the most important sports events in the world for the first time. After the official test and the scrutineering we are really ready. The LMP2 is the largest category and is really super competitive. For us the main goal is to reach the finish line being protagonists of a good race so to be able to celebrate such a significant achievement after the checkered flag”.
