The Spa Rally’s tenth edition is scheduled for Saturday, November 30th and Sunday, December 1st. However, the event’s activities will kick off on Friday, November 29th. The shakedown will begin at eleven o’clock, with the first two hours exclusively for the RC2 (Rally2) and RGT class cars. Subsequently, all other participants can have one final test on a course that accurately represents the conditions they will face the following morning
But that’s not all! At 18:00, drivers from the RC2 and RGT categories will participate in a Qualifying Stage on the same roads as the shakedown. During this stage, participants will complete a first pass, drive past the service park, and then make a second pass before parking in the closed car park. The best time from the two passes will be used to determine the final result of the Qualifying Stage
The fastest driver of the Qualifying Stage will have the honour of choosing their starting position for the tests on Saturday, which doesn’t necessarily have to be the first position. The second, third, and subsequent drivers will then choose their starting positions based on the results of the Qualifying Stage. This will determine the starting position of the top ten drivers, while the remaining RGT and RC2 participants will be placed on the starting list based on their fastest time in the Qualifying Stage.
There will be plenty to experience on Friday, and the public can attend with a ‘Full’ pass for 30 euros in advance (valid for the shakedown, Qualifying Stage, and all weekend tests), or by paying 15 euros on the spot for a ticket only valid on Friday.
In short, the excitement will begin even before the start of the Spa Rally 2024
