The NM Racing Team will field a Mercedes-AMG GT4 for the duo of Guillermo Aso and Filip Vava-Atanackovic to compete in Iberian Supercars.
Last season, Guillermo Aso was one of the team’s drivers, securing two podiums and one race win, ending the season in third place in the GT4 Pro division and GT4 category drivers’ standings. This year, the Spaniard will have a new teammate at the wheel of the NM Racing Team Mercedes-AMG – Filip Vava-Atanackovic – who will once again be vying for the top positions in the GT4 Pro division.
Romanian-born, Spanish-based Vava has been participating in the GT4 European Series with the Nil Montserrat founded team in recent years, and in 2023, he secured two podiums and a pole position, finishing ninth in the Pro-Am category.
Said Guillermo Aso, “I’m delighted to announce my participation in this program, which includes Iberian Supercars, the highest level track championships held on the Iberian Peninsula. I’m also pleased to continue with the NM Racing Team after our first year in 2023, where we managed to climb to the top step of the podium. It’s a very professional team, and the Mercedes-AMG GT4 has proven to be a highly competitive car. Filip, on the other hand, is a driver with proven speed and experience. We raced together in a GT4 European Series race, and we really identify with each other.”

Many of the tracks are new to me, and I can’t wait to take on the challenge. I can’t wait to get started in Jerez in a couple of weeks,” Filip Vava-Atanackovic added.
The 2024 season kicks off on May 25/26 at Jerez de la Frontera
