Bespoke Cars Racing, with the support of Tockwith Motorsports, will be taking part in the Iberian Supercars Endurance with a Porsche driven by Marcus Fothergill and Dave Benett.
Land Rover specialist Marcus Fothergill and society photographer Dave Benett have been regulars in Britcar Endurance since its inception. However, this year, they have decided to take part in the Iberian Supercars Endurance, partly due to the fantastic destinations that the two competitions pass through. These include cosmopolitan locations such as Lisbon and Estoril area and Madrid, areas with fantastic beaches such as Jerez de la Frontera and Portimão, and even the picturesque town of Vila Real.
In addition to competing at a high level on fabulous and historic circuits, driving the Porsche 991.1 Cup entered by Bespoke Cars Racing/Tockwith Motorsports in the GTC category, Cup division, Marcus Fothergill and Dave Benett also have the opportunity to take advantage of the destinations offered by the Iberian series, as well as the excellent climate and friendly environment.
The British duo is no stranger to Race Ready-organized series, having participated in the GT4 South European Series round at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in 2019. Their Porsche is the second car confirmed for this season’s Cup division.
According to Diogo Ferrão, Race Ready CEO: “It’s fantastic to be able to welcome Marcus and Dave back to our championships. Tockwith Motorsports has supported us from the beginning, and it’s great to be able to continue to count on the team for another season. I’m sure they will be very competitive in the Cup division of the GTC category and will contribute to the excitement we will certainly have on the track. Their return shows that we are working in the right direction, with destinations and tracks that are part of the imagination of ‘Gentleman Drivers’, who, in addition to wanting to compete and have fun, also enjoy attractive places that allow them to have a strong social component.”
The Iberian Supercars Endurance season starts on May 5-7 at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, with the last event taking place in November.
