Henrique Chaves will take part next weekend in the GT World Challenge GT Europe’s fifth round, that will be staged at Misano, Italy, and once again is decided to fight for the podium positions.
The Portuguese youngster has been one of the main contenders of the series, taking already two wins and a podium, always with Miguel Ramos at his side.
These results allow the Portuguese duo to be third in the Pro-Am GT World Challenge Europe’s Driver Standings and in the same position in the Sprint Cup, being involved both titles’ fight.
Next weekend, Henrique Chaves and his teammate will contest in another Sprint Cup event, at Misano, a circuit where the twenty-four-year-old driver never raced before. “Once again, we will be in a track unknow for us, I and a team never competed there. Miguel made some racing there, but in the reverse direction. But, as we showed at Zandvoort, that won’t be a problem and I’m confident that we will have a good baseline. We will have to know the circuit and find its limits, but that’s normal in a racing driver life”, said the Portuguese driver.
As usual, the Portuguese duo has big challenges ahead, but is confident to set clear goals. “We couldn’t take part in the Zandvoort’s second race, so we lost points in the titles fight. We have to recover to try to get back to the championship lead. Our opponents are strong, but I’m confident that that we can fight for wins and pole-positions and keep our titles fight”, underlined Henrique Chaves.
