Le Castellet (France), June 3, 2021. Team 1AIM Villorba Corse racing programs resume on June 4-6 at the 4 Hours of Le Castellet, which is the third round of 2021 European Le Mans Series. The Italian team will be back in action at the Paul Ricard circuit, France, with their Ligier JS P320 powered by Nissan and racing drivers Alessandro Bressan, Damiano Fioravanti and Andreas Laskaratos. After being hit by another prototype and forced to an early retirement in the previous race, held at the Red Bull Ring last month, the squad led by Raimondo Amadio is immediately aiming to fight back, showing a competitive pace and scoring championship points as the team did in Barcelona at the beginning of the season.
A total of 42 cars (with 16 LMP3’s) is expected to take part in the 4 Hours of Le Castellet. After two free practice sessions and qualifying, to be held on Saturday at 14:00hs (Central European Time), the endurance race kicks off on Sunday, June 6 at 11:00hs CET with full live streaming on
Raimondo Amadio, Team Principal, said: “Our restart comes after 15 very difficult days. All the guys in the team did a fantastic job to repair our prototype after Red Bull Ring. Now the only goal must be taking revenge. We are ready to compete, we like the Paul Ricard circuit, we hope for a strong weekend”.
Bressan added: “I felt a massive disappointment in Austria, we didn’t have the chance to show our potential, and it was not even from our own fault, so it weights even more. In the weeks after the race, I focused on channeling the bad feeling into motivation to do well in the next race and get a good result. I’m really pumped and ready to get on track at Paul Ricard!”.
