Zeewolde, March 5, 2021 – Van Amersfoort Racing is happy to announce to have Bence Válint in their Formula 4 squad for the second time around. Bence is scheduled to attack the full Italian F4 Championship and will also compete in selected rounds of the ADAC German F4 Series.
Despite last season being a learning year for Válint, he was able to exceed his own goals by being the first Hungarian driver to gather championship points in Formula 4. Going through a strong learning curve, Bence stood his ground in the extremely competitive environment of Italian F4 racing. This year, Válint will expand his experience not only by taking on the Italian F4 Series, but also by adding selected rounds of the ADAC German F4 Championship to his roster.
Bence is excited about the upcoming season; “I am really happy to be racing with VAR again. We’ve bonded strongly and it’s great to attack the new season together with them. It’s honestly difficult to put in words how exciting last year was. With every outing, whether it was for practice, qualifying or race sessions, I learned more each and every time. For the upcoming season, my goal is to keep learning for sure, but I have set my eyes on moving closer to the front of the field and gathering championship points, more than I did last year! I feel confident and I can’t wait for the season to officially get started. Especially with Paul Ricard on the calendar, which is a new track for me, I spent lots of hours in the simulator. Now it’s time to get my race suit on again though!”
The season will kick-off mid-May on new territories for both the Italian series and Válint. It is the circuit of Paul Ricard that debuts on the Italian F4 race calendar, making the start of the season an exciting one.
Rob Niessink, CEO at Van Amersfoort Racing, is happy to have Válint on-board again: “We have said it before; it is always great to be able to continue with a driver into a new race season. Bence has spent a lot of time with the team last year and we have gotten to know each other very well. Especially during the learning-process in which he is currently in, it will be very beneficial for him to be in a trusted and familiar environment. Last year Bence went through a massive learning curve and the team is excited to support him in reaching his next goals!”
