After several podiums in 2019, Bullitt racing is back to GT4 South European Series, this time for a full season with two Mercedes-AMG GT4 and the surprise Mclaren 570S.
The group, hailing from Málaga, signed up three teams for 2020, one Mclaren and two Mercedes, in the two weekends which will decide the winner of the competition, sponsored by Moura Cortes Laser. The weekends will take place at Jerez de la Frontera and the Autódromo of the Algarve.
Bullitt Racing, founded by Stephen Patrick but headquartered in Malaga, usually races in the GT4 European Series and at the end of 2019 took part in the GT4 South European Series with two Mercedes-AMG. Having enjoyed the experience, they are back in 2020 with reinforcements, as a fabulous Mclaren 650LT will join the two Mercedes in Portimão.
Both Mercedes-AMG will enter the AM category, with Bronze drivers. CEO Stephen Patrick will be at the wheel of car #33 while car #66 will be driven by Ian Loggie, fresh from his victory in the British GT championship, in the Pro AM category.
Diogo Ferrão, who leads the GT4 South European, says “we are proud to welcome back to our competition such a high quality team. They are used to some of the world’s best championships and their return to our series fills us with pride and motivation. We must be doing something right.”
The 2020 GT4 South European Series season will entail only six races, over the course of two weekends, starting in December 12th and 13th in Jerez and finishing in January 23rd and 24th at the International Circuit in the Algarve
