Henrique Chaves arrives to the fourth International GT Open’s round in the standing’s lead and, in Red Bull Ring, Austria, is decided to fight to keep his advantage.
The Portuguese youngster debuts this year in the selective GT world, but that didn’t prevent him from showing good performances alongside his teammate, Martin Kodric. After three rounds, he achieved two second places and one third, and leads the drivers’ standings in front of a tough opposition.

The Teo Martín Motorsport’s driver raced in four events at the Austrian circuit – three integrated in Formula Renault 2.0 championships and one in the European Le Mans Series – and has as best result a fifth place achieved in the Spielberg round of the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup 2016.
The number 59 McLaren 720S GT3’s driver is excited with his return to racing, after one month away from the racetracks. “Finally, we are back… We have been competitive and I’m confident that we will be again at the Red Bull Ring. The weather is a bit unstable and rain is expected, but I think we will be competitive, nevertheless, so we can keep fighting for the title”, said the driver from Portugal.

We will have a 15 second handicap in first race and 5 in the second, but we will work hard since the first practice session to be competitive in the qualifyings and in the races”, reckoned Henrique Chaves.
The official program of the Red Bull Ring’s round of the International GT Open will kick-off Friday, with the practice sessions. Saturday will be held a qualifying session and a race, 15h50 (GMT+1).
