The GT4 South European Series is generating great interest amongst teams and drivers, as Team Novadriver confirms the intention to to take part in the Race Ready organized series.
The team led by César Campaniço is one of the biggest names in the Portuguese motor racing scene, after achieving titles in numerous categories and having take part in the 2012 FIA GT3 and in the 2013 FIA GT Series, where it showed high competitiveness with victories in both seasons with the Audi R8 LMS and Audi R8 LMS ultra, respectively.
After racing with prototypes and touring cars, the Team Novadriver is back to the GT racing, securing an Audi R8 LMS GT4 that the team intends to enter in the GT4 South European Series. “We believe that today the GT4 cars are the best solution for the Portuguese motorsport environment as they have amazing performances with controlled running costs. The GT4 South European Series are a natural option, as big grids are expected as well as TV broadcasting in Portugal and Spain, which is very important for the sponsors’ media exposure. We are in talks with some drivers and we are confident that Team Novadriver will be in the series”, said César Campaniço.
To Diogo Ferrão, having a high standard team like Team Novadriver in the series is very important for the GT4 South European Series, it lured all the most important Portuguese racing teams. “The interest created by our series has been high and many European teams showed their desire of taking part in it. After Speedy Motorsport and Veloso Motorsport, Team Novadriver is also working to be present in the GT4 South European Series, which please us. As a Portuguese organization, it is a pleasure to have the main teams from our country in our series. The César’s (Campaniço) team, as Speedy Motorsport and Veloso Motorsport, is one of the great Portuguese names and it will be a guarantee of competitiveness in our series”, added Diogo Ferrão, CEO Race Ready, GT4 South European Series organisation partner.
The series promoted by Race Ready in partnership with SRO Motorsports Group will kick off at Nogaro, in the Coupe de Pâques, at April 19th-22nd, and will visit four other circuits – at Circuito del Jarama, Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Autódromo Internacional do Algarve and Circuito do Estoril. In addition, a “Special Cup” will be held at the Vila Real street circuit.
The GT4 South European Series’ races will be TV broadcasted in Portugal and Spain and will be broadcasted in its Youtube Channel for the rest of the world.
