Treviso (Italy), October 19, 2017. The main goal is to end their first LMP2 season in style. Cetilar Villorba Corse is ready for the sixth and last round of the 2017 European Le Mans Series 2017 in Portugal. Italian team will be in action from October 20 to 22 taking part in the 4 Hours of Portimao, a modern track with a “classic taste” with its up and downhill sections and blind bends where the squad led by Raimondo Amadio will make its LMP2 debut with racing drivers Roberto Lacorte, Giorgio Sernagiotto and Andrea Belicchi on #47 Dallara P217 powered by Gibson. Thirty-five cars are expected to compete in Portimao: on Sunday, October 22, the race will start at 13:00 (14:00 CET; live streaming on www.europeanlemansseries.com).
Team Principal Amadio says: “Portimao will mark the end of a very long season that, among several commitments, meant our debut in the LMP2 class and our first time at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. An analysis is about to come but for now we just want to stay focused on this final round. It will be far from an easy weekend because of the difficulty of the track that we are facing for the first time with a LMP2 prototype. Very important for us is to be protagonists of a consistent race without making mistakes and to end it hoping for a good result”.
