Franco-Swedish outfit Team Peugeot Hansen is looking forward to a festive atmosphere and an expected turnout of some 40,000 spectators when it makes the short trip to Round 7 of the 2017 FIA World Rallycross Championship at Höljes, Sweden, on July 1-2. Sébastien Loeb and Timmy Hansen will be hunting for their first victory of the season to earn extra points for the team which currently sits second in the provisional Teams’ standings.

Quote, unquote…

Kenneth Hansen (Team Principal)

“This is always a magical weekend for us. We tend to be competitive at Höljes which is a circuit we know very well. We have high hopes for the weekend which we have prepared for meticulously. At the same time, we are fully aware that the level is very high at the moment. We will fight for the win but the strength of the opposition means it will be hard, so we will just give it our very best shot.”

Sébastien Loeb (PEUGEOT 208 WRX #9)

“Höljes is a circuit I enjoy. It is technically very challenging and clearly the most difficult of the year from the driving point of view. I remember finishing on the podium there last year and the atmosphere was fantastic. Rallycross is such a big sport in Sweden and it was great to experience it at first hand. It’s always a pleasure to compete there and it’s also the ideal place for some time away in a camper van.”

Timmy Hansen (PEUGEOT 208 WRX #21)

“It’s a thrill to be competing at Höljes which is my absolute favourite venue. I’ve scored some good results there in the past and had some memorable battles. It’s the best rallycross circuit anywhere and it has a bit of everything, with great corners, jumps and some banking. It is also quite hilly. It needs a special approach and there a few tricks you have to learn if you want to post a quick time. There’s something really magical about the place.”

Kevin Hansen (PEUGEOT 208 WRX #71)

“I can’t wait for Höljes. I have so many memories of this circuit and I love racing there. The competition is obviously going to be very fierce again but I will push as hard as I can. That’s never easy but it’s a track that suits me better than some of the places we have been to recently.”
