Treviso (Italy), June 2, 2017. Cetilar Villorba Corse is ready for the official test day ahead of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 17-18), which represents the crucial event of the season for the squad led by Raimondo Amadio. On Sunday, June 4 the all Italian team will debut on the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe with the Dallara P217 Gibson and the crew formed by Roberto Lacorte, Giorgio Sernagiotto and Andrea Belicchi will drive for the first time the LMP2 prototype on the legendary 13.6-kilometer track. Among them, only Belicchi can count on several experience in the Le Mans 24 Hours, while Lacorte and Sernagiotto raced on the same circuit last year but with a Ligier LMP3 in just a one-hour sprint race. Therefore for both of them Sunday’s official test is mandatory to take part in the race two weekends later. The first test session is scheduled in the morning from 9.00hrs to 13.00hrs, the second will follow in the afternoon from 14.00hrs to 18.00hrs.
Team Principal Amadio says: “It’s not easy to describe the moment we are living. We have pursued it for twenty years. Being in Le Mans is already a victory for our team and in a few hours we will begin what represents a great adventure besides, without any rhetoric, a dream that becomes true, something that will immediately boost our motivation like never before. We are well aware about how demanding this debut will be but also about how proud it makes us feel
