The 2017 Blancpain GT Series will run over ten weekends, and will see the best GT drivers and cars in action. But that is not all. Fans will also be able to enjoy fast-paced, action-packed races from several high-level championships which will be part of the support program for the Blancpain GT Series
For years now, the Blancpain GT Series has had the honour of the company of one of the fastest single-make championships in the world, the Lamborghini Super Trofeo. This championship consists of over forty Lamborghini Huracan in Super Trofeo-configuration and will be present at four rounds of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup and the Nürburgring round of the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup.
Plenty of single-seater action as well during the Blancpain GT Series weekends. The Formula Renault Eurocup will be present in Monza and Silverstone, with the Northern European Cup-version of the Formula Renault racing at the Nürburgring. The Italian F2 championship is part of the opening round at Misano, as is the Italian F4 championship. At the Total 24 Hours of Spa there will be even more single-seater action, with the young talents of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship, and the FFSA F4 joins the season finale in Barcelona.
Touring Cars championships and GT single-make series are always a welcome sight during any race weekend, and with the Trofeo Abarth (Misano), Deutscher Tourenwagen Cup (Monza, Zolder and Paul Ricard), Lotus Cup Europe and Aston Martin Racing (both Silverstone), Belcar and TCR Benelux (Zolder), Peugeot 308 Racing Cup (Total 24 Hours of Spa) and Porsche Carrera Cup France and Benelux (Barcelona) the racing fans will see plenty of action.
In Budapest the Blancpain GT Series will join forces with the FIA European Truck Racing Championship for an exceptional event
The Blancpain GT Sports Club will of course be present during the Blancpain GT Series meetings as well. The sprint series reserved for Bronze drivers will be on the programme in Misano, Silverstone, Paul Ricard, Spa, Budapest and at the grand finale in Barcelona. The exciting cars of the GT1 Ultracar Sports Club can be admired during the Paul Ricard meeting.
And last but not least the GT 4 European Series, organised by SRO Motorsports Group, will add to the entertainment during several events as well. The Northern Cup races at Misano, Brands Hatch, Zolder and the Nürburgring, with the Southern Cup / FFSA French Championship joins the grid at the Barcelona finale.
