PJ Jacobsen is on his way to Donington Park Circuit, where he will contest the seventh round of the 2016 FIM Supersport World Championship this weekend. After missing out on a podium finish two Sundays ago at Sepang, following an incredible comeback that brought him close to the leading pack with one lap to go, Jacobsen is now looking forward to racing his Honda in front of the British crowd.
Last year Jacobsen was fifth at the finish at Donington in what was his last round on different machinery before the switch to the Ten Kate-prepared Honda CBR600RR, on which he challenged for the World Supesport title up to the last race of 2015. The 22-year-old from Montgomery, New York, currently sits fifth in the Championship standings, 40 points shy of leader Sofuoglu but only 11 away from third.

I’m looking forward to racing at Donington Park, it’s a circuit I really love and I’m quite sure we’ll be able to be competitive with the Honda CBR600RR. A good set-up is crucial for this track and surely the weather will be a big factor. We will go for a good result whether it’ll be dry or wet. It’s time to return to podium ways and hopefully get that win that we have been looking for since the start of the season.

In Malaysia we weren’t able to make the most of our potential but we are looking forward to a different outcome in Donington. The bike has been very competitive on every circuit and track condition lately, so now it’s a matter of putting all the pieces together and go for a strong result. It is really important to get back on the podium here and in Misano before the long summer break.
